Artists' Showplace Gallery will present the stunning work of nationally recognized woodturners Kevin Bassett and Gary Sanders. The gallery will host a reception to meet the artists. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
Bassett’s interest in the art of woodturning evolved from his extensive study of plant pathology in his home state of Colorado, followed by a distinguished 40-plus-year career as a certified arborist.
Sanders, a retired firefighter from Greenville, Texas, began woodturning professionally in 1993. His artwork has been accepted into national juried woodturning exhibitions, and he has work in private collections and museums. Gary teaches locally and has conducted woodturning demonstrations across the country and in Australia. He is known for his finishing techniques and his eye for detail.
Following the artist reception, the exhibit will be on display through June 30.
