Arts & Letters Live: Amy Grace Loyd

Described as a "modern-day Hitchcock," Amy Grace Loyd’s debut novel, The Affairs of Others, delves into many of the same themes and settings as Edward Hopper’s art - observing and being observed and the sense of solitude even in the midst of an urban environment. Her novel is a Rear Window story of sorts described with Hitchcockian detail. Loyd worked on this story on the subway to and from her job as the executive editor of Byliner, which might be why New York City feels like a flesh-and-blood character.

A book signing will follow the event.
