With a career that has spanned decades and garnered numerous awards, Candice Bergen has had an undeniably memoir-worthy life. Her starring role on Murphy Brown as a hard-hitting television reporter garnered her five Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards and an American Comedy Award. In the show, Bergen’s character dealt with a number of issues, including single parenthood and recovering from alcoholism. Her success on television gave her the opportunity to be the first woman to host Saturday Night Live, and she was the first actor to host the iconic show twice. Before her acting career began, Bergen worked as a fashion model.

In the follow-up to her 1984 memoir Knock Wood, which the New York Times hailed as an “engaging, intelligent, and wittily self-deprecating autobiography,” Bergen returns with A Fine Romance — a hilarious, honest, and down-to-earth tale of love, loss and motherhood. In it, she tells of her first marriage and the subsequent passing of her first husband, French director Louis Malle, from cancer. She also reveals the struggle to overcome her ambivalence toward motherhood and the blossoming of her love for her daughter, Chloe. A gifted writer and storyteller, Bergen’s memoir is sure to have readers identifying with her struggles and her triumphs.

VIP tickets include best seats, a hardcover copy of A Fine Romance and priority signing access.
