Josh Hickman unveils his third solo art exhibition of new works, "Personis Naturalis," his first show of the year. An award-winning artist and graduate of the Booker T. Washington High School for Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, Mr. Hickman will present a collection of all new works in the Underground Gallery at Arts Mission Oak Cliff.
Titled "Personis Naturalis," this collection is third in a series of solo exhibitions of Mr. Hickman’s work to be presented by Arts Mission Oak Cliff as a part of his artist residency at the Oak Cliff arts center. Fresh from a wildly popular pop-up exhibition titled Friday The Thirteenth in Smithville, Texas, Mr. Hickman turned for inspiration in this newest collection to the endlessly fascinating landscape of the human face. "Personis Naturalis" is a deep creative rumination on the “natural mask” of the human face, whether we realize it or not, perhaps the most-observed subject in our lives.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on view through January 31.
