The performance event A Gathering will celebrate the power of community, love, and chosen family through dance, music, drama, drag, poetry, and more. The event will feature the work of at least nine organizations and dozens of artists, all volunteering their talents and time in a benefit supporting four Dallas HIV/AIDS Service organizations.
Participating organizations include Bruce Wood Dance, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Dallas Theater Center, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, DASH Ensemble, Verdigris Ensemble, B. Moore Dance and the Cast of the Rose Room. The work of playwright Jonathan Norton.
Proceeds from A Gathering will benefit four HIV/AIDS service organizations: AIN, AIDS Services of Dallas, Prism Healthcare and Resource Center. The National AIDS Memorial Quilt is partnering with A Gathering and sharing two 12’x12’ sections of the famed AIDS quilt for the production.
