The Humble Beginnings Award Luncheon is the signature fundraising event for Austin Street Center, an emergency overnight homeless shelter near Deep Ellum. For 15 years, Dallas sports fans have joined sports radio personality Norm Hitzges for sit-down interviews with local sports legends. This year, Austin Street Center will honor Dallas Cowboys great Roger Staubach with the Humble Beginnings Award.
