The Authors Live series will present Stephen Harrigan, who will talk about his novel, Big Wonderful Thing. Blending action and atmosphere with impeccable research, Harrigan brings to life with novelistic immediacy the generations of driven men and women who shaped Texas. Harrigan presents Spanish explorers, American filibusters, Comanche warriors, wildcatters, Tejano activists, and spellbinding artists-all of them taking their part in the creation of a place that became not just a nation, not just a state, but an indelible idea.

The 7 pm event is free and open to the public. A 6 pm reception, by reservation only, is $30 per person and includes a copy of the book.
