Celebration of Reading is annual fundraiser benefiting The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy and Texas initiative, hosted by the former First Lady herself. Authors for the 2012 event include, Kathryn McGarr, U. S. Senator Marco Rubio, Sally Bedell Smith, Nicolle Wallace and Robert Zorn. The authors will share excerpts from their work during the main event and mix and mingle with major donors at a reception prior to the event. All guests will get a light supper and receive a book written by one of the authors.
