Barry Whistler Gallery begins the 2017 season with "Sotol View," an exhibition of works by Houston-based artist Terrell James.
James is well known to the Dallas audience. However, this exhibition will provide an unusual opportunity to view two mural sized works never exhibited in Texas. The title, "Sotol View," references a visit to the Big Bend and the inspiration it had on her work. Paintings on canvas and works on paper (Field Studies) from 2010 to the present will also be included. This show marks the artist’s third solo exhibition with the gallery.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through March 25.
