Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts Opera Workshop presents Gilbert and Sullivan's operetta The Mikado.
Nathan Myers, himself a Booker T. graduate, has assembled a group of incredibly talented junior and senior voice and orchestra students who meet for 90 minutes on alternate days and after school weekly for rehearsal. The Opera Workshop is one of the very few high school opera programs in the country. It provides a challenging learning environment and a strong foundation for a future in opera for these hard working and high-achieving students.
