Brazen Brass 5 will present its debut performance as an Ensemble-in-Residence at SMU Meadows School of the Arts.  The concert will feature brass quintet music from the Baroque to the 20th century, including works by Ingolf Dahl, Victor Ewald, Jan Koetsier, Ludwig Maurer and Claudio Monteverdi.

The group includes Texas natives Cody McClarty (trumpet) and Brandon Wright (tuba), both senior music majors at SMU, along with trombonist DJ Taylor (M.M. ’14), horn player Kirstin Schularick (M.M. ’13) and trumpeter Dylan Smith (M.M. ’13), who completed their undergraduate studies at Northwestern University, Indiana University and Eastman School of Music, respectively, prior to attending SMU for graduate school.
