In SI X’s mixed bill, Bruce Wood Dance Project revives the Bruce Wood classic, No Sea To Sail In.
Following in the legacy of her mentor, Artistic Director Kimi Nikaidoh includes two world premieres. She commissioned award-winning dancemaker Katarzyna Skarpetowska to create a high-spirited, dynamic work for 10 dancers. Klezmer Rodeo’s exuberant athleticism and seamless patterning offer the dancers a great deal of freedom in movement and expression.
Nikaidoh takes on the second world premiere. Bloom is a collaboration with Dallas’s celebrated mixed- media artist, Shane Pennington. Bloom captures the healing and reclaiming of hope through recovery.
