A panel of former U.S. Secret Service agents will pull back the curtain and discuss all that goes into protecting the President of the United States. As a companion event to the Bush Center’s special exhibit, "Presidential Retreats: Away From the White House," the former agents will discuss the intricacies and coordination required to protect the President everywhere, including while getting away from Washington and even during overseas travel.
Among others, the discussion will hear from Joe Clancy, former director of the U.S. Secret Service and head of the protective division; and Nick Trotta, a member of President Bush’s detail on 9/11. Former White House advisor Spence Geissinger will moderate the conversation.
