BvB Dallas hosts the 11th Annual Powder-Puff Football Game to tackle Alzheimer's. BvB Dallas is the largest powder-puff football fundraiser for Alzheimer’s disease both in terms of number of participants and dollars raised to support research and awareness. Participants have raised more than $4 million in less than 11 years.
The event will feature an intense football game featuring Dallas young philanthropists and athletes, commentated by Ty Walker, Donovan Lewis, and Sean Bass of Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket. There will be a check presentation with representatives from The Center for BrainHealth, UT Southwestern, The Senior Source and The Alzheimer's Association. The after-party is presented by Bud Light.
Every 66 seconds, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. It is the 6th leading cause of death and the only disease among the top 10 that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed. In June 2018, BvB Dallas set a goal of raising $700,000 to fund local research and programming. Fundraising results will be announced at the game.
