The 10th Annual Cancer Support Community North Texas One Run will have a twist. The colorful run/walk will transform into a Virtual “Move-a-Thon” Challenge from May 1-30, complete with a home tie-dyed t-shirt kit to celebrate activity and exercise across the month. The event aims to unite all cancer diagnoses, as well as survivors and their caregivers, through this display of color and community support.
Participants can register for three participation options: 1) A virtual 1-mile walk/run, 2) A virtual 5K walk/run, or 3) A 35 x 30 move-a-thon challenge, where the person commits to participating in 35 minutes of activity for 30 days. Activity can include any kind of healthy “movement,” from yoga to walking to Tai Chi to meditation.
Participants are encouraged to upload photos and track their results at OneRunTexas.org. Participants can also share their tie-dye spirit on social media tagging CSCNT and using #OneRun21 throughout the month to help drive excitement and foster a sense of community. A One Run Celebration Event & Award Ceremony will take place live on Facebook on May 31.
