Cara Mia Theatre Co. presents, Milagritos (Little Miracles), based on short stories by Sandra Cisneros and adapted for the stage by Marisela Barrera. Cisneros' stories are woven together from the childhood memories of Chayo, a woman originally from South Texas living in a new city. Characters from her family and old neighborhood are brought to life as they offer prayers and pin milagritos to a statue of La Virgen de Guadalupe. By remembering her family, especially the women who came before her, Chayo discovers what La Virgen de Guadalupe signifies to her in this new stage of her life.

Cisneros will be in attendance on December 1 for a book signing and reception at 6:30 p.m. To celebrate Our Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the annual Mexican holiday, CMTC will host a party before the December 12 performance at 6:30 p.m. The Latino Culinary Institute will provide food and drinks.
