As part of ex mus, their experimental music series, CentralTrak will present Nick Hennies, a percussionist and composer from Louisville, Kentucky currently residing in Austin.  His work is primarily concerned with redefining and re-purposing the role of traditional percussion instruments through repetition, meditation and immersion. 

Hennies will perform a program of experimental compositions written for snare drum. Included on the program will be works by Peter Ablinger, John Cage, Alvin Lucier and Hennies himself.
