The art scene in Dallas has been experiencing significant growth over the past few years. Included in that growth has been an impressive collection of dance troupes.

This installment of CentralTrak’s Next Topic will focus on the changing dance scenes by bringing together Mark Lowry, the co-Founder, editor and chief theater critic of TheaterJones.com; Joshua L. Peugh, Founder and Artistic Director of Dark Circles Contemporary Dance; Danielle Georgiou, a Dallas based dancer/choreographer, video artist, and writer; and Jamie Thompson, a dancer for the Dallas Black Dance Theatre.

The discussion will center around the growth of small dance companies and projects within the Dallas metroplex, the financial funding, the education of dancers, the competitive nature of dance, and other issues facing contemporary dance in DFW.
