MFA student Vargha Manshadi will transform the CentralTrak gallery with his thesis exhibition Bending Light, a series of large abstract photographs manipulating space, form, light and shadow through layers of textures, reflective objects and magnifying glasses.

Manshadi uses optics to create these abstract images by relating to the behavior and properties of light, including its interaction with the subject matter  through  the index of refraction, reflection, and prisms as they relate to physics.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through July 5.
