Chamber Music International will present Viva Tango, a colorful tango program featuring Argentinean tango from composers such as Ástor Piazzolla and Lalo Schifrin. Musicians will include international solo violinist Cho-Liang Lin, clarinetist David Shifrin, pianist Octavio Brunetti, bassist Pablo Aslan, percussionist Satoshi Takeishi and bandoneónist Héctor Del Curto.
In Argentinean Tango, the featured instrument is the bandoneón, a wind aerophone instrument that is played by pushing and pulling out the instrument between both hands while pressing one or more buttons for the different pitches.
The night will kick off with a special pre-concert performance in the lobby at 7:30 pm by Dallas-based tango studio, TangoAmor.
