The Choreo Records Youth Ensemble presents the premiere of Behind the Tap, a behind the scenes look at the world famous youth of Choreo Records Youth Ensemble edited, shot, and directed by 14-year-old Dallas native Julian Jordan.

This "mockumentary" goes behind the scenes and exposes all of the emotional, physical and mental boundaries we cross on the daily to bring you the level of tap dance performance you get at a Choreo Records show. Made in the style of This is Spinal Tap, Behind the Tap is a fully improvised and imagined look at a group of talented young tap dancers, whose daily dance practices consists of lunatic behavior, bizarre dialects, self-centered attention, protein plugs, and breathtaking performances. Under direction of Choreographer Keira Leverton and Acting Director Natalie Young, the kids of Choreo Records Youth Ensemble turned the music up, the camera on, and were let loose.

Additionally, the evening will begin with a live performance from the dancers accompanied by the Choreo Records Band, featuring Nick Earl (2x Dallas Observer Music Award nominee for Best Guitarist). Stop Talking, Let's Dance, will pay tribute to the late Buster Cooper.
