FIFI, the Commemorative Air Force’s (CAF) iconic Boeing B‐29 Superfortress, will fly into Dallas Executive Airport for a four-day barn storming aviation event. The B-29 and other vintage military aircraft will be on display. Accompanying aircraft include a P-51 Mustang, C‐45 Expeditor, T‐6 Texan, PT-13 Stearman, T-34 Mentor and more. Visitors may tour the B‐29 cockpit and purchase rides in all of the airplanes. These aircraft are powerful American icons bringing the sights, sounds, and stories of World War II aviation to the residents of Dallas.
The CAF AirPower History Tour will feature hands on, interactive exhibits and activities including flight simulators inside an authentic C-47 cockpit and trainer airplane. World War II re-enactors will be on the ramp with jeeps and military vehicles giving it a real 1940s airbase feel. Visitors can spend time in the veterans area where soldiers from World War II will relate unforgettable, first-hand history lessons.
