Community Council of Dallas presents 2017 Dallas Hunger Summit

Community Council of Dallas will present an opportunity to learn and strategize about how we can combat child hunger and senior hunger, promote a robust local agricultural sector and eliminate food deserts. They will discuss specific ways the faith community can be more engaged, identify innovative healthy food access projects to rally behind, and share how all of us can make our voices heard on behalf of vital federal nutrition programs.

Speakers and panelists to include: Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, Larry James, CitySquare, Taylor Toynes, For Oak Cliff, Anga Sanders, Feed Oak Cliff, Clarice Criss, Nella Roots Gardening, Daron Babcock, Bonton Farms, Dr. Larry Terry, UNT Dallas Urban SERCH Institute, Rev. Virginia Holleman, St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
