Over the past five years, Shakespeare Dallas and AT&T Performing Arts Center have presented staged readings of every single one of Williams Shakespeare's works. The 40th and final performance in the series will be Sonnets.

Few collections of poems intrigue, challenge, tantalize, and reward us as do Shakespeare’s Sonnets, all written in the English sonnet form. It is not just the beauty and power of individual sonnets that engage us, but the story that their sequence seems to tell about Shakespeare’s love life, whenever one reads the Sonnets in the order in which they appear in the 1609 Quarto.

Sonnets will be hosted by well-known Shakespeare aficionado and comedian, William Sutton. City officials, arts community, and local celebrities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area will participate in the 2 1/2 hour event reading of all 154 of the Bard’s sonnets. In addition to the Sonnets readings, the afternoon will also include a pre-show discussion, two intermissions and post-show Q&A with cast and creative team.

Student tickets for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare are free to students with valid IDs. Student tickets will be available at the door only, one hour before each performance.
