Conduit Gallery presents Heyd Fontenot’s solo exhibition, Kult Klassic, his third at Conduit Gallery since 2008. The artist will present his trademark figurative drawings and paintings alongside unexpected objects in an "inhabited installation.” Patrons will also get a sneak peek at Fontenot's ongoing film project, Flaming Critters, an homage to filmmaker Jack Smith and exploitation films of the 20th Century which attempted to dramatize counter culture.

Together with Fontenot’s exhibition, Conduit Gallery will also be presenting a solo exhibition by Dallas-based artist, Ludwig Schwarz. Desktop is Schwarz’s third solo exhibition at Conduit Gallery and differentiates itself from his previous two (2014 Walking Closet and 2012 Taos (Taos Thrift Shop)) with its purposeful nonchalance. A well-known multi-disciplinary artist, Schwarz frequently injects the absurd and incongruous into the “expectedly universal”; employing video, sculpture, installation and writing, working candidly and fluidly between domestic life, studio practice and inevitably, marketplace.

Following the opening reception, both exhibits will be on display through November 26.
