Similarly, the configuration of a sculpture, its arrangement of elements, provides the rhythm and flow of its story. Over the years Morbillo has used steel, stainless steel, bronze, cast glass and, most recently, recycled cast plastic to tell these stories. Fabricated and cast metals have remained the most consistent thread in his work, the ebbs and flows of the stories expressed through the combination of contrasting materials within each sculptural composition.
