Craighead Green Gallery will kick off their 2025 exhibition season with "Scapes," a group show that invites viewers to reflect on landscape, both natural and man-made, that shape our experiences, perceptions, and memories. The exhibition, composed of works by nine distinguished artists from across the globe, explores the diversity in which the environment influences one’s identity, transformation, and emotional response.
The term "scape" refers not only to physical landscape, be it cityscape, seascape, or dreamscapes but also refers to the emotional and psychological terrain these spaces evoke. In Scapes, each artist uses color, texture, and form to create work that resonate on both literal and metaphorical levels, transforming landscapes into vehicles for broader reflections on the human connection, and the passage of time.
Featured artists include Rich Bowman, Connie Connally, Peter Drake, Jay Maggio, Ed Hall, Anders Moseholm, Patrick Pietropoli, Rebecca Shewmaker and Carolin Wehrmann.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on view through February 15.
