Cross Timbers Rotary Club will present the inaugural 5K River Run. This new race course takes participants around the beautifully developed River Walk in Flower Mound and ends at the site of the inaugural Cross Timbers Rotary Duck Derby event, Rhythms at the River Walk.

Participants receive a Run the River shirt, chip timer on race bib, one duck adoption for the Derby, pre and post race refreshments and also the joy of knowing that every entry is helping raise critical funds to empower our area’s incredible non-profits. Cross the finish line with a special duck-themed finisher beaded necklace and celebrate the race with an awards ceremony that will immediately follow. The 5K course is USATF certified and will be timed by Cox Racing Services.

After the run, stay for a quacking good time at the Family Friendly River Walk starting at 10:30 am. This is a great event for a casual, scenic approximate 1-mile stroll along the water. Registrants of this event will also receive a shirt and one duck adoption for the Derby. Dress your ducky best and enjoy the glorious morning with your family and friends.

The festivities continue throughout the day with children’s activities, arts and crafts vendors, non-profit showcase, music, food trucks, and the Duck Derby.
