Inspired by the novel, The Outsiders, and generated from first person essays and accounts from teens, The (out)Siders Project is a multimedia theater piece featuring teens from across the Dallas area.

Inspired by S.E. Hinton’s classic novel, this new work is set in present-day Dallas and incorporates physical theater and original music.

Cry Havoc was born out of necessity. In Dallas, there is no organization solely dedicated to providing training and performance opportunities to young people serious about studying the art of theater making. In an effort to make theater opportunities accessible, theater education often means classes geared toward the novice with material that is simplistic and uninspiring. And, there are numerous “pay to play” performance options, but there is no organization with year-round performance opportunities where the most talented students participate, regardless of their ability to pay. Until now.
