On the wings of its event success in 2015, Cancer Support Community North Texas will host its Thrive 2016 event. The annual event will honor three-time cancer survivor, cancer support advocate, and long-time NBC5 anchor Deanna Dewberry, and spotlight many others in the Greater Dallas community who are helping people survive and thrive with cancer.
Community leaders and long-time supporters of CSCNT, Janet Moll and Dave Ashworth, will co-chair the event, which aims to spotlight the positive impact of emotional and psycho-social support on cancer patients and their families. Dewberry will receive the Community in Action award honoring her relentless efforts in life and work to improve the quality of life of those impacted by cancer.
