The Dallas Arboretum will present the 29th annual Dallas Blooms, featuring 500,000 spring-blooming bulbs including tulips, daffodils, Dutch Iris and hyacinths, in addition to 100,000 pansies, violas, poppies and thousands of other annuals and perennials. Over 100 Cherry Blossom trees will also bloom for a ten day period during the festival. If the weather cooperates, the garden's collection of 6,000 azaleas will bloom as the festival comes to a close in April.

The blooms will be complemented by the Arboretum's newest exhibit, "The Adventures of Great Explorers," in which six explorers - Marco Polo, Ponce de Leon, Cabeza de Vaca, Captain James Cook and Lewis & Clark - will be showcased with small replication playhouses of destinations where each explorer traveled. The exhibit runs from March 2 until December 31, 2013.
