Daffodils are blooming right now in the gardens at the Dallas Arboretum, and the Texas Daffodil Society will present its annual flower show. Anyone is welcome to enter in daffodils to the show or photography of daffodils before it starts. This is a great chance to see many types of daffodils and meet experts.
The Daffodil, or botanically Narcissus, is the early harbinger of spring and is known by its white or yellow trumpet shaped petals surrounding a yellow, pink or white center. There are thousands of hybrid varieties in as many combinations of colors. Most daffodil flowers are fragrant, and some even appear and bloom in early winter.
