Dallas Architecture Forum presents Larry Scarpa

The Dallas Architecture Forum will continue its Lecture Series with architect Larry Scarpa, co-founder of the firm Brooks + Scarpa.

The firm of Brooks + Scarpa is known for its dedication to modern architecture’s core concern for social and environmental issues as the guiding principles of design.  It has won over 70 major design awards, including the 2010 National AIA Architecture Firm Award, three “Top Ten Green Project” awards, a “Record Houses” award, a Rudy Bruner Prize, and was a finalist for the World Habitat Award.

In 2009 Scarpa received The Lifetime Achie­vement Award from Interior Design magazine. His work has been widely exhibited, including at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC. Scarpa has taught at Harvard, Michigan and Berkeley, and he recently co-founded the The Affordable Housing Design Leadership Institute (AFHDL) to help develop sustainable and livable communities.
