Celebrating Dallas Arts Month, Dallas Arts District will present its annual Changing Perspectives Block Party, in partnership with AT&T Performing Arts Center, featuring three performances by Dallas’ own Dark Circles Contemporary Dance and "Impulse," an interactive installation comprised of 12 LED seesaws that experiment with light and sound when activated by the public.
The event will feature performances on the Sammons Community Stage, AT&T PAC, campus and throughout the festival footprint. Dark Circles will perform an original work that physically engages with the interactive seesaws at 8:30, 9:15 and 10 pm.
A free community celebration, the block party will also feature performances by Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Brass Ensemble, Dezi5, Tippy Balady and other local artists. In collaboration with Dallas Arts District partners, crowds enjoy gourmet food truck fare, local brews, a photo booth, and a community mural.
