The Dallas Bar Foundation will present An Evening With Ken Burns. Burns will share a special excerpt from his new documentary film on the Roosevelts and participate in an intimate chat about this fascinating political family.

The Roosevelts: An Intimate History chronicles the lives of Theodore, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, three members of the most prominent and influential family in American politics. It is the first time in a major documentary television series that their individual stories have been interwoven into a single narrative; appearing on PBS stations nationwide September 2014.

The Dallas Bar Foundation’s annual event raises funds for the Foundation’s Sarah T. Hughes Diversity Scholarship program. The scholarship program, established in 1981, promotes diversity in the Dallas legal profession by attracting exceptional minority student leaders to the SMU Dedman School of Law. To date, the Foundation has awarded over $1.9 million in Hughes scholarships to 51 students.
