The Dallas CASA Children’s Council will present the 2023 Cherish the Children benefit luncheon, featuring guest speaker Cortney Jones, founder and executive Director of the nonprofit Change 1. She is a child welfare advocate and former foster youth served by Dallas CASA.

The event will honor Sally Hoglund and Kristy Hoglund Robinson with the 2023 Caroline Rose Hunt Cherish the Children Award, which recognizes an individual or organization for outstanding contributions to helping children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

The award was inspired by its namesake Mrs. Hunt, because of her constant dedication to the most vulnerable in our city and helping people who could not help themselves.

The Hoglund family has been a long-time supporter of Dallas CASA. Kristy Hoglund has served as a Dallas CASA volunteer advocate since 2015, on the Dallas CASA Board of Directors since 2017 and as co-chair of the 2017 Champion of Children Award dinner. Founded by Sally and Forrest Hoglund, The Hoglund Foundation was honored with the Judge Barefoot Sanders Award in 2008 for its commitment to supporting families and children in Dallas.
