Dallas CASA will honor Betty Regard with the Caroline Rose Hunt Cherish the Children Award for her dedication to improving the lives of children. Regard was one of Dallas CASA’s earliest advocates and has remained a dedicated supporter of Dallas CASA. The annual award recognizes an individual or organization for outstanding contributions helping child victims of abuse or neglect.
Hosted by Dallas CASA Children’s Council, the luncheon is co-chaired by Lisa Tenorio Truppa and Jessilyn Thiboult Wilson.
The luncheon program will include a panel discussion on the State of Child Welfare. The panel will feature the Senior Vice President of Inclusion and Community Engagement at the Dallas Regional Chamber, Latosha Herron Bruff; the Superintendent of the Dallas Independent School District, Stephanie Elizalde; the Texas DFPS Commissioner, Stephanie Muth; and will be moderated by former Dallas CASA Board Chair and CEO of the Dallas Mavericks, Cynt Marshall.
