With the support of Spain Arts & Culture, the official Spanish cultural program in the U.S., Madrid-based architecture firm Luis Vidal + Architects (LVA) will bring its innovative architectural exhibition Encounters to the Dallas Center for Architecture.
Encounters made its U.S. debut in April of this year at the District Architecture Center in Washington, DC where it was featured during National Architecture Week. The exhibition then traveled to New York City where it was displayed at the Center for Architecture during NYC x Design in May.
An interactive exhibition with a surprising touch of augmented reality, Encounters is an architectural installation created to discover, explore, and present the work of LVA—a celebration of their vision and major projects over the last ten years, including the recently-inaugurated Terminal 2 at London’s Heathrow Airport, which opened its doors this June and which has been officially named Terminal 2: The Queen’s Terminal. The exhibition was conceived to create a meditational space in which one may experience the architectural queries and needs of the 21st century through the critical eye of unconventional architect, Luis Vidal.
The opening reception will include a book signing and presentation by Vidal. Additional events celebrating the exhibition will also occur during the run of the show. Following the opening reception the exhibit will be on display through October 31.
