As part of Dallas Center for Photography’s year-long programmatic dedication to highlighting Women in Photography, they will present "When We Speak, You Should Listen," an exhibition in collaboration with Dallas-based women photographers, amplifying the diverse voices of the city while highlighting the perspectives and stories of the city’s BIPOC community.
Curated by renowned artist and advocate Vicki Meek, the exhibition will feature new work by seven of Dallas’ distinguished early career artists in a timely conversation on womanness, exclusion, and erasure in the present day.
Featured artists include Nida Bangash, Ari Brielle, Ciara Elle Bryant, Inyang Essien, Victoria Gomez, Nitashia Johnson, and Shafagh Kalhor.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on view through August 4.
