Dallas Comedy Club presents Opeyemi Olagbaju

Opeyemi (Opey) Olagbaju is a Nigerian American stand-up comedian and writer who most recently was a writer on CBS’ Bob Hearts Abishola. Previously, Opey wrote and starred in Bammas, a half hour pilot that was produced for Hulu.

He also has written for Close Enough at HBO Max and was Story Editor on Betty for HBO. Other writing credits include Unrelated for Freeform, I Love You America with Sarah Silverman for Hulu, The New Negroes for Comedy Central, and Phoebe Robinson’s Doing The Most.

As a stand-up, Opey was a "New Face" at Just For Laughs in Montreal as well as the Moontower Festival in Austin (Summer 2024), and was named one of the "Comics You Should and Will Know in 2023" by New York Magazine.
