Each year, the Dance Council of North Texas celebrates the accomplishments of individuals for their lifetime contribution; artistic and educational achievement; and service to the community.

The 2016 Honors recipients are:

• Edward Villela - Mary McLarry Bywaters Award for Lifetime Achievement to Dance
• Melissa Young - Natalie Skelton Award for Artistic Excellence
• Christian Waits - Mary Warner Award for Outstanding Service to Dance
• Elizabeth Gillaspy - Larry White Dance Educator Award
• Mary Six Rupert - Buster Cooper Tap Legend Award
