The 4th annual Dallas Firefest is fun for the whole family, featuring Hose Cart Races, live music, food, drinks and activities for the entire family. Local firefighter teams will race antique style hose carts for a $1,000 cash prize, trophies and bragging rights to be called FireFest Hose Cart Race Champions. Dallas-based blues and southern rock star Buddy Whittington will provide live music on the main stage on Exposition Ave.
The family fun will begin with an educational safety programs where guests can try out the 911 Simulator, as well as see the Dallas Firefighter’s Museum. Sparky the Fire Dog will be a special guest and the kids can enjoy a Giant Fire Truck Slide N Bounce, along with face-painting, games and prizes.
Money raised for Dallas FireFest will go to the Dallas Firefighter’s Museum for scholarships and educational programs that teach fire safety.
