Issues of housing, racial justice, voting rights, and equity have been highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic and resurgence of Black Lives Matter movement. Dallas Habitat's first-ever Advocacy Day will be a virtual event that will discuss important issues like the 2020 elections landscape and registering to vote; racial justice and equity; and affordable housing and local policies to be aware of.
The event will include opening remarks from Dave Crawford and Tosha Herron-Bruff, an introduction by Eddie Bernice Johnson, and two panel discussions, one on policy and elections and a second on racial justice.
