Dallas Heritage Village presents Brush with History: Following Frank Reaugh

Dallas Heritage Village will honor Dallas artist Frank Reaugh (1860-1945), the dean of plein air painting, with an art show featuring Texas painters. A gifted artist, teacher, inventor, Reaugh influenced the development of countless artists and students in Dallas and Texas. A founder of the Dallas Art Society, which evolved into the DMA, Reaugh led annual painting trips to West Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. Reaugh is known for his studies of Texas landscape/longhorn cattle.

 

The weekend will include an opening reception on Friday, October 4, a plein air competition and other activities on Saturday, October 5 and family activities on Sunday, October 6.

Admission is free for opening reception, activities free with admission on Saturday and Sunday.
