The Dallas Historical Society will celebrate the 100th anniversary of women's right to vote - the passing of the 19th Amendment - with the new online exhibit, "Women's Suffrage in Texas." Texas was the ninth state in the U.S. and the first state in the South to ratify the amendment. By August 18, 1920, 36 states (including Texas) had approved the amendment and it became part of the United States Constitution.
