Panelists will explore questions like: What does it means to seek asylum? Who is eligible for this status and why? What standards for asylum applicants are currently in place? Are our asylum laws working in the most effective and efficient ways? Do our asylum laws need to be changed or revised?
The panel will be moderated by Jenny Manrique, Multimedia Reporter for Al Día and The Dallas Morning News. Panelists include Elizabeth Cassidy, Director of International Law and Policy, U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, and Bill Holston, Executive Director, Human Rights Initiative of North Texas.
