The Dallas Holocaust Museum will present its Upstander Speaker Series with Michael Sam. Sam made history in 2014 as the first openly gay player drafted by the NFL. He has won ESPY’s Arthur Ashe Courage Award and the Human Rights Campaign’s Upstander Award and was nominated as a finalist for Sports Illustrated’s Sportsman of the Year.

After an introduction by WFAA sportscaster Dale Hansen, Sam will speak about his past year and his hopes for the future.
