Harry Wu is the author of several books including Bitter Winds, a memoir of his 19 years of imprisonment in the Chinese labor camps. From the horrors of life in the labor camps to human rights abuses, such as selling the organs of executed prisoners and dead labor camp internees, Mr. Wu discusses the essential issues of state sponsored terror and torture. He understands firsthand the excesses and arbitrary nature of unchecked power and governments.
