For the past 37 years, Dr. Efraim Zuroff has been actively involved in the worldwide efforts to bring Nazi war criminals to trial, initially as the sole researcher in Israel for the Office of Special Investigations of the U.S. Justice Department, and since 1986 as the coordinator of Nazi war crimes research worldwide for the Simon Wiesenthal Center. His efforts influence the passage of special laws in several countries enabling the prosecution of Nazi war criminals. He is currently the director of the Center’s Israel Office in Jerusalem.
