The Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture will present An Evening with F. Scott and Zelda, a celebration of famous author F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife, Zelda. Baz Lhurmann's recent film version of The Great Gatsby reignited our fascination with Fitzgerald's classic novel of American success and excess. For many Gatsby fans, the author's life with Zelda was almost as intriguing as his title character's was with Daisy.
In his highly praised debut novel Beautiful Fools, Clifton Spargo brings F. Scott and Zelda to life and vividly imagines the golden couple's last rendezvous in Cuba and their final goodbye. Mr. Spargo will read from, talk about and sign his book. There will also be a reception and live music from the Jazz Age.
